Norbert came to us as a transfer from a shelter in Central Minnesota, where he had been brought in as a stray. Norbert is a very sweet, friendly dog who loves everyone he meets. He is playful and energetic, but also loves affection. Norbert gets along well with other dogs but should not be in a home with cats. He is treat-motivated and knows a few commands, such as "sit" and "down", but needs to work on his recall because he is very interested in sniffing around when he's outside. Norbert is house-trained and crate-trained.

Norbert is participating in our Rush to Rescue program, so he is currently being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, he will be attending a training program with a certified trainer and will be working on his commands with his handlers.
