Prince had been at a shelter for several months, but his energy level was keeping him from getting adopted. The shelter was looking for a rescue group that he could be transferred to, so when a spot opened up in our prison program, Prince came to Rescued Tails. Prince is a very smart, loving, friendly dog. He has a lot of energy, so he will need a home that will be able to give him the exercise he needs. Prince learns quickly and is very eager to please. He loves a game of fetch and enjoys playing with tennis balls and rope toys. After he is done playing Prince calms down nicely inside, and you can sometimes find him resting his furry head on a favorite perch - your lap! While Prince gets along well with children, he would do best in a home without smaller children due to his energy level. He does well with other dogs, especially if they are up to his play style. Prince does not do well with cats. He is crate-trained and house-trained. Prince is participating in our Rush to Rescue program, so he is currently being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, he will be attending a training program with a certified trainer and will be working on his commands with his handlers.
