I am adopted!

Susie came to us when a shelter in Minnesota put out a plea to have her transferred to a rescue, and we were lucky enough to be able to help her. Everyone who meets Susie just falls in love with her cute little face and her huge personality. She definitely knows what she wants and isn't afraid to use her charm to get it. When Susie is begging, either for people food or attention, she sits up and flaps her front legs up and down, which makes her very irresistable.  That explains why the vet thinks she could stand to shed a few pounds. Susie is a true lap dog who also appreciates a good belly rub. She doesn't let her small stature get in the way, and can jump over the back of a couch and has been found standing on a bathroom vanity. Since she's so cute, her little transgressions are easy to overlook. Susie is house-trained and crate-trained.

Susie is now participating in our Rush to Rescue program, so she is being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, she is attending a training program with a certified trainer and has been working on her commands with her handlers.
