I have been adopted!

Sweet Poco was brought to a shelter, after being an outside dog for 12 years, because her owners were traveling too much. They said the only interactions they had with her was when they went to feed her. Despite that, Poco is a very sweet and loving dog. She is laid back and enjoys just hanging out, although she still has some spunk in her when she's outside. Poco tolerates other dogs and has a canine buddy, but prefers her own space. Her previous owners stated she did great with kids. She seemed indifferent to the cats she has met.

Poco is participating in our Rush to Rescue program, so she is currently being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, she will be attending a training program with a certified trainer and will be working on her commands with her handlers.
