I have been adopted! Mercy me! This sweet girl (appropriately named, Mercy) was found limping around a small town in WI. Her owner never claimed her at the local dog pound, so there she sat...waiting for someone to rescue her, and she had an injury to her left, front leg! We took Mercy into the Rescued Tails family, and after a trip to the vet, and x-rays were done, it was discovered that she had a dislocated elbow and arthritis (telling us it was an older injury). After consulting with different surgeons, the best option for Mercy is to keep her leg for now. Mercy is on pain meds and uses her leg most of the time. She runs and plays - jumping around with other dogs. In the future she may need to have her leg amputated, but as long as she continues to use her leg, without additional discomfort, Mercy will have all four on the floor. A video is attached of Mercy walking. Mercy is part of our Rush to Rescue, prison foster-dog program at the Rush City Correctional Facility in MN. She has been attending a basic obedience class there and has learned all the good things a dog needs to learn. Mercy loves to play with dogs and is good with kids! Her handlers describe Mercy as, "well behaved and has a sweet disposition. She loves belly rubs and responds well to training." Mercy is a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul.
