I have been adopted! When Honey Bear's owner died, a family member took her in, although the level of care was less than ideal. A concerned citizen was able to rescue her from her circumstances, and we agreed to take her into our program. Honey Bear is a 90-pound lap dog who is very loving and gentle. She is not without energy though, and can be quite playful, especially when her toys squeak. Honey Bear is very friendly and is great with kids. She gets along well with other dogs, but has shown a few guarding behaviors over valued items when around them, so it's best if she was the only dog in the house. Honey Bear is house-trained and crate-trained. She loves to go for car rides and she rarely barks. Honey Bear is participating in our Rush to Rescue program, so she is currently being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, she will be attending a training program with a certified trainer and will be working on her commands with her handlers.
